Our Mission

Our Story

Motown Soccer League was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic with a simple goal: to give every child in our community the opportunity to play, learn, and grow through the game of soccer during a challenging time.

What began as the River Rouge Soccer Club in 2020 with just 25 players has grown into a community-driven organization serving 16 cities and more than 1,000 families annually across the Detroit Metropolitan area.

Our growth has been fueled by a belief that soccer is more than a game—it is a powerful tool for building stronger communities, developing young leaders, and creating opportunities for youth to succeed both on and off the field.

We believe that sports are about more than winning championships. They are a vehicle for teaching character, teamwork, discipline, resilience, and respect. Through positive coaching and inclusive programming, we strive to ensure that every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Today, Motown Soccer League continues to unite communities across Metro Detroit through affordable, inclusive soccer programs that inspire youth to learn, grow, compete, and thrive.

Through soccer, we strive to build character, strengthen neighborhoods, and inspire the next generation of leaders both on and off the field.
